Modern Soul Drumming

OddGrooves Modern Soul Drumming started out when Magnus heard some of the stuff his teenage son was listening to (Which is mostly Hip Hop. Loud, I might add). Instead of doing what most parents would do (freak out yell “TURN THAT SH*T DOWN”), he started playing along to the grooves and all of a sudden, the embryo of a new groove pack saw the light of day.

But the Modern Soul pack isn’t just a bunch of hippety-hoppety grooves. It’s heavily inspired by the neo-soul movement from the late 90’s made popular by artists such as D’Angelo, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu and Maxwell, but also artists from the 2010’s such as Jill Scott, Bilal and John Legend.
